Special Projects

“He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.”  

This class is designed to help you use the gifts God has given you.  In Special Projects, students have the opportunity to pursue activities in which they have considerable interest or ability, but are not within the scope of the regular curriculum or offered through extracurricular school programs.  

Projects can include, but are not limited to: 

  • building something (a dog house, a shed, a small business) 
  • robotics projects, video game/website design, filmmaking 
  • sewing, knitting, bake sales, organizing a fundraising event
  • learning a language (not offered by NSA)

PREREQUISITES:

None

MATERIALS AND RESOURCES:

  • Students are responsible for purchasing any supplies needed for the project. 
  • Access to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are provided by NSA

FORECASTED AMOUNT OF TIME REQUIRED:

Students are required to complete a minimum of 125 hours. For Semestered students this works out to be about 8 hours per school week, for Full Year Students it's about 4 hours per school week.
